Baby Sitting Tonight

Well tonight Marie and I are baby sitting her good friends baby while she and her husband attend a company party. Marie is spoiling the baby by holding him all the time even when he is sleeping. By the way the little guys name is Anthony, with pretty blue eyes. Marie has never really been around a lot of babies before so she is getting use to it and everything that goes along with it, feeding, burping and diaper changing. Now the real fun begins.

Philippine Foods

I've been really spoiled lately by my beautiful wife by cooking different Filipino food. I have been eating Chicken Adobo, Shrimp, Lumpia, Bihon, Beef Steak, Dried Squid and my all time favorite "Nilat-ang Baka".

I ask my wife to make Nilat-ang Baka at least once a week and sometimes twice in one week. This dish I could probably eat every day, but I don't for fear it might get old to me. However, I doubt that it will ever happened.

$700 Billion Bailout Package

I'm interested to know what you think about President Bush's $700 billion bailout package. As you know Bush is prodding lawmakers in Washington to approve his plan. it would by far be the biggest bailout in Americas history. The rescue plan would give Washington broad authority to purchase bad mortgage-related assets from U.S. financial institutions for the next two years. Who should lead the country, Obama or McCain???

I am not excited about either candidate and they both have their flaws. The reason I'm not exciting about both candidates is because they are both weak on the "Illegal Alien" issue and "Border Security". Not one candidate has really addressed these two issues or come up with a detailed plan to combat either issue.

If you stop and think about both parties campaign, neither has a comprehensive plan to lead this country, form health care, budget & spending, reduction of big government, energy policy, etc. They have both focused on change in one way or another, but with no substance.

Our New Jersey Family Vacation

Before school started for the kids we took them to the best family beach vacation we have ever been on. We usually go to Sea World, but we decided to go somewhere different this year and we are glad we did.

This post will probably be emotional for some and eye-opening for others. But I do think it is something that has to be addressed to protect and insure the future of your wife and kids. Lately, I've noticed that there are several Filipinas who have lost their husbands due to unexpected illnesses/death. To those who have I would like to say sorry for your lost.

This post is for all wives and husbands, especially if you have gone abroad and petitioned you wife to join you in your home country. There is one thing in common that the above mentioned Filipinas have; their husbands passed away without financially securing their wive and kids future via life insurance, 401K, savings, etc. Some have even left their wives with unpaid mortgages, massive debt, and no money.

Husbands, think about the hurt, stress and financial turmoil that your wife and kids would endure if you weren't around. You have uprooted your wife from her family and friends and she changed her life to join you thousands of miles away. I feel it is your duty as a husband and father to insure her and your kids future.

Wives, you also have a part to play in this to urge your husbands to talk and make a plan to take care of you and the family in the event of unforseen circumstances. Anything could happen at anytime.

I just thought I would throw this topic out there; and yes I am practicing what I preach by making sure I have a plan in place to take care of my beautiful wife and kids.
